Pastor Michael Patrick Murtaugh
Meet Life Recovery Church’s Pastor & Founder Michael Patrick Murtaugh.
Michael Patrick Murtaugh is the Founder and Pastor of Life Recovery Church. An accomplished public speaker, community builder, and ministry leader. Michael was born and raised in Blue Collar Allentown, Pennsylvania. He founded Life Recovery Church in March of 2021 in hopes of filling what he saw as a dire need in his adopted community of Cave Creek, Arizona.
Michael has been deeply involved in community ministries since 2011 and counting, having completed over 400 classroom hours in leadership courses and founding a number of fundraisers, programs, and campaigns aimed at aiding those struggling with addiction, homelessness, and poverty. Michael is a 2010 graduate of Calvary Addiction Recovery Center’s Christian Track, where he made the conscious decision to live by God’s will and spread his word in service to others and went on to accomplish the following:

Founder of Race For Recovery, which raises funds for those struggling with addiction and gives 100% of the proceeds to those still struggling. The race has raised over $150K to date, and every single penny has been donated.
Michael has received his Certificate in Presentation Mastery from Toastmasters, a Certificate in Discipleship from Mission Grove Church, a Certificate in Biblical Studies from Arizona Christian University, and is currently pursuing an ongoing education at Dallas Theological Seminary. When he is not leading Life Recovery Church, Michael delivers passionate and powerful presentations to high schools, Grand Canyon University, The Rotary Club, Churches, clubs, fundraisers, PAL Groups, halfway houses, rehab facilities, and other venues to bring life recovery through a meaningful personal relationship with Jesus.
Michael is married to his beautiful wife Stacey, has a beloved son Connor and daughter-in-law Ajla and precious granddaughter Reina. Stacey and Michael also have two other blessings named Boomer and Titan — their loving Schnauzers.
